These statistics are sent out daily (via email) and give you with an overview of activity on your web site.

More detailed graphical statistics are also available. These features are included with all hosted accounts.

1. Activation

To enable daily web site activity reports, access your control panel and click the 'Daily Stats' button.

Enter the email address where you'd like to have statistics sent in the box and click the 'OK' button.

If you no longer wish to receive stats, select 'Disable Stats' from the drop-down and click the 'OK' button.

2. Reading Stats

The first part provides you with a brief overview of your web site's activity.

Total Requests.....: 367 Requests For Pages.: 109 Total IP's served..: 42

Totals Requests

Total number of web requests for your website. For example, a web page with 4 images on it would generate 5 requests when someone visits it. One (1) request for the page itself and four (4) for the images for a total of five (5).

Requests For Pages

This is the total number of web pages requested. If someone requests a web page with 4 images, you would only have 1 page requests, but 5 (1 page + 4 images) total requests.

Total IP's served

This is the count of total unique hosts (IP addresses) sending web requests to your hosting account.

This value is usually almost equal to the number of unique visitors your web site received.

The second section shows you what time of day those visitors were viewing your website.

Page Requests/Hour.: ('+' = Block Of 10 Page Requests) 00 : + 01 : + 02 : + 03 : + 05 : +++ 06 : ++ 07 : + 08 : + 09 : +++ 11 : + 12 : + 13 : ++ 14 : +

Time zone is PST and the time frames are shown in 24 hour (military) time notation.

Each + represents 10 or less page requests.This means +++ would be 21 to 30 page requests during that 60 minute time frame (one hour).

When no requests were received for any given hour, it is not included in the report.

The third section displays requested web pages.

This shows the web page, followed by the number of times it was requested that day. These are sorted by popularity.

The most popular page (/) here is the home page.

The /cgi-fulldiaper/basket entry shows all shopping cart requests. This is not the same as orders placed. When someone adds an item to their basket, modifies their basket, enters delivery information it as counted as a unique request.

The /cgi-fulldiaper/basket entry shows all database manager requests made that day.

The /robots.txt file is read by search engines. Even if you do not have this file in place, search engines will attempt to read it and it will be counted as a request.

Actual reports show all files requested, the above sample shows only a few.

The final section shows the actual IP's of your visitors for that day.

Entries are listed in the order they sent a request to your website hosting account that day.

You may be able to recognize any search engines which spidered your site or where visitors are located geographically.
